Cosmet’Agora 2027
The concept
Established in 2014, the Formulation Award celebrates the boldness and creativity of the most innovative companies every year. A jury of recognised experts will award two prizes in each category to recognise the most outstanding projects. And because their opinion matters, visitors will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite among the finalists.

BOLDNESS AND ART: WHEN COSMETICS BECOME A MASTERPIECE
Transforming a purely visual emotion into a tangible formula that resonates perfectly with the artwork you have chosen.
Art has always inspired its masters, and fashion, with its designers, has always drawn inspiration from it. Today, the cosmetics industry is doing the same, recognising its own artists: the formulators.
The Formulation Prize will honour these talents. Entrants are invited to select a reference work of art (be it a painting, a sculpture or a photograph) and to draw inspiration from it to devise a groundbreaking galenic innovation.
Formulation is the art of transforming matter, just as painting captures colour, sculpture shapes form, and photography — the bicentenary of which we are celebrating (1827–2027) — sculpts light.

Important information before applying
The 2027 theme, ‘Boldness & Art’, invites candidates to design a cosmetic formulation inspired by a reference work of art: painting, drawing, engraving, sculpture, visual artwork or photography.
Before submitting their application, candidates are asked to review the General Rules of the Prize and the thematic annex applicable to the 2027 edition.
For this edition, only works in the public domain are eligible.
Candidates must also ensure that the visual used to represent the artwork is compatible with the intended uses within the scope of the Prize.
General Rules
Entry into the Cosmet’Agora 2027 Formulation Award implies prior, express and unconditional acceptance of the General rules of the Award and the thematic annex applicable to the Cosmet’Agora 2027 edition — Theme: Boldness & Art.
The General Rules and the thematic annex set out, in particular, the conditions of entry, the Award categories, the selection of the source of inspiration, the rules governing visual materials, the supporting documents to be retained, the assessment procedures, the communication rules, the grounds for rejection or disqualification, and the entrant’s responsibilities.
